StackEdge FAQ
30+ questions about StackEdge — features, pricing, formats, sold action, privacy, launch. Plain answers, no fluff.
What is StackEdge?
StackEdge is a poker bankroll tracking and session analytics app for iOS. It helps poker players log sessions, track profit and loss, manage bankroll, compare venues, analyze performance with 100+ metrics, and handle staked action.
Is StackEdge the same as Stack Edge?
Yes — Stack Edge and StackEdge are the same app. The official spelling is StackEdge (one word), but both forms are used interchangeably by players searching for the app.
Is StackEdge the best poker bankroll app?
StackEdge is a 5-star rated poker bankroll app built for serious iOS players who want better results. It combines a live lock-screen timer, 100+ analytics metrics, automatic bankroll management, and sold-action tracking in one app, and early users consistently describe it as the cleanest, easiest poker bankroll app they have used.
What rating does StackEdge have on the App Store?
StackEdge holds a 5.0-star rating on the App Store. Reviewers highlight how easy it makes logging hours and winnings — one user wrote that after years of pen and paper, StackEdge made tracking effortless.
Who is StackEdge built for?
StackEdge is built for serious live and online poker players — cash, tournaments, mixed games — who want professional-grade insights without spreadsheets. Live cash grinders, tournament players, mixed-game players, and players who sell action are the primary audience.
What platforms does StackEdge run on?
iOS only at launch — iPhone. iPad support is possible post-launch. There is no Android version and no web app planned at launch.
What makes StackEdge different from other poker trackers?
Three things: a live lock-screen session timer (with Dynamic Island), a full sold-action / backer module, and analytics built around real bankroll management (risk of ruin, stake recommendations, sample-size aware confidence).
How does the lock-screen timer work?
Start a session in StackEdge. The timer launches on your lock screen and Dynamic Island (iPhone 14 Pro and newer). You can log rebuys, pause for breaks, and end the session without unlocking your phone deeply — just tap from the lock screen.
What metrics does StackEdge calculate?
100+ metrics including hourly rate, BB/100, ROI, ITM%, win rate, standard deviation, sample-size confidence, profit by venue, profit by game type, profit by day of week, profit by time of day, win/loss streaks, and risk of ruin.
Does StackEdge support poker staking and sold action?
Yes. Full sold-action module: create backer profiles, set markup, sell percentages of any session, view per-backer ROI across your entire history. Pre-built sell packages let you assign backers in one tap at the table.
Can I import existing sessions from a spreadsheet?
Yes. CSV import is available in StackEdge Pro. Download the free CSV template at /csv-import, fill in your existing sessions, and import in the app under Settings → Import.
Does StackEdge have a HUD or hand-history parser?
No. StackEdge is session-level tracking with key-hand notes, not a HUD. It does not connect to PokerStars, GGPoker, or other online sites to parse hand histories. PokerTracker 4 and Hold'em Manager are HUDs; StackEdge is a different category.
Does StackEdge work for live poker?
Yes — it is built primarily for live poker. The lock-screen timer is most useful in live settings where pulling out your phone mid-hand is rude. Live cash, live MTTs, and mixed games are all fully supported.
Does StackEdge work for online poker?
Yes. Online cash and online tournaments are supported. You enter sessions manually (StackEdge does not pull data from online sites). All analytics — BB/100, ROI, ITM% — calculate the same way.
What poker formats does StackEdge support?
StackEdge supports 8+ game types: No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, PLO5, Stud, H.O.R.S.E., mixed games, cash games, MTTs, and SNGs. Format-specific metrics calculate automatically.
Can I use StackEdge for home games?
Yes. Add a custom venue for your home game and track sessions there. Some players also use StackEdge to track collected rake at hosted home games — add the rake as a "buy-in adjustment" if you do.
Does StackEdge support multi-currency?
Multi-currency tracking is on the roadmap. At launch, sessions are tracked in your primary currency (defaulting to USD).
Is StackEdge free?
Yes, StackEdge has a free tier with core session tracking and bankroll features. StackEdge Pro unlocks advanced analytics, unlimited sessions, CSV import, and the sold-action module.
How much does StackEdge Pro cost?
StackEdge Pro is $4.99/month, $39.99/year, or $99.99 as a one-time lifetime purchase. The annual plan works out to under $3.34/month.
How do I cancel my StackEdge Pro subscription?
Cancel any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refunds are issued for unused time except as required by law.
Is there a free trial?
A free trial may be offered at launch. If offered, you can claim it once per Apple ID. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription auto-renews at the listed price.
Does StackEdge offer a lifetime plan?
Yes. StackEdge Pro Lifetime is $99.99 — a one-time payment that includes all current and future Pro features with no recurring subscription.
Is my session data private in StackEdge?
Yes. Session data is stored encrypted on your device by default, with optional cloud sync. Read the full privacy policy at /privacy for the complete details on data collection, retention, and your rights.
Can I export my data?
Yes. StackEdge Pro includes CSV export — your full session log, with every field, exportable any time.
Is StackEdge a gambling app?
No. StackEdge is a tracking and analytics tool, not a gambling app. StackEdge does not offer, host, facilitate, or process any gambling, betting, or wagering. Players record the results of games they play elsewhere.
Does StackEdge encourage gambling?
No. StackEdge is designed for players who already play poker and want to track their performance. The content focus is on bankroll management — the discipline of NOT going broke — and analytics, not on promoting play.
StackEdge vs Pokerbase — which should I use?
Pokerbase is cross-platform (iOS + Android); StackEdge is iOS-native. StackEdge wins on the live-session lock-screen timer, the sold-action module, and modern UI. Pokerbase wins if you need Android. See /compare/stackedge-vs-pokerbase.
StackEdge vs Poker Analytics — which should I use?
Poker Analytics is a long-running iOS/Mac tracker with deep history. StackEdge is the modern, Dynamic Island-native rebuild. Poker Analytics wins on Mac sync today; StackEdge wins on the iPhone live-session experience and sold action. See /compare/stackedge-vs-poker-analytics.
StackEdge vs spreadsheet — is the app worth it?
A spreadsheet works until it does not — usually around month six. Spreadsheets cannot run a live timer, log rebuys in one tap, auto-update bankroll, or surface patterns like your most profitable venue. StackEdge is the purpose-built version. See /compare/stackedge-vs-spreadsheet.
Is StackEdge available on the App Store?
Yes — StackEdge is now available on the iOS App Store. Download it free today.
Is there a TestFlight beta?
StackEdge is now fully live on the App Store, so there is no need for a beta — you can download the released app for free today.
How do I become a StackEdge Ambassador?
Apply at /ambassadors. Ambassadors get a unique referral code, recurring commission on referred Pro subscriptions, and early access to new features. Active poker players with an audience or community presence are the typical fit.
How can I contact StackEdge?
Email StackEdgePoker@gmail.com. We typically respond within one business day. Press, partnerships, ambassador inquiries, feature requests, and bugs all go to the same address.
